commission a painting

Is there a sunset that lingers in your memory? A scene that brings you peace—or a view from a trip you’ll never forget?

Let’s turn that memory into something beautiful, together.

  • I offer a range of sizes for custom pastel paintings, starting at 11” x 14”. When reserving your commission, you can select from the standard sizes I offer or request a custom size that fits your space perfectly. You’ll also have the option to choose whether you’d like your piece in a horizontal or vertical orientation — whichever best suits your vision and the room where it will hang.

  • This is the part where you get to dream a little.

Tell me what you’d love to see in your custom painting — whether it’s a particular scene, a feeling, or simply a color you can’t stop thinking about.

You’re welcome to upload reference photos — these could be places you love, colors that inspire you, or even snapshots of the room where your painting will live. If you have a color palette in mind, feel free to share that too (even just one color you’d like me to highlight).

If there’s a painting of mine that speaks to you, let me know what you love about it. I’d be happy to weave in similar elements or mood into your piece.

    * A Note About Subject Matter

My commission work focuses exclusively on landscapes. I don’t currently paint buildings, people, or pets — but I’m happy to work from reference photos that include those elements and adapt the scene to reflect a more natural, open setting. For example, if you love the sky or lighting in a photo but there are buildings in the foreground, I can reimagine it with a more organic landscape.

If you’re unsure whether your idea is a good fit, feel free to reach out — I’m always happy to talk it through.

  • Once you’ve settled on the details, you can reserve your commission by filling out the form below.

I’m so excited to collaborate with you and bring your vision to life!

Why Are Commissions Priced Higher?

Commissioned paintings are created with your unique vision, story, and preferences in mind. They involve additional planning, communication, and thoughtful design to ensure the final piece is deeply personal and meaningful.

This extra time and creative attention is reflected in the pricing and helps ensure you receive a one-of-a-kind heirloom piece you’ll treasure for years to come.

Materials & Quality

Each painting is created using professional-grade soft pastels with high lightfastness, ensuring vibrant color that will last for generations. When properly framed, pastel artwork is among the most archival forms of fine art.

Prices reflect the use of premium materials and the care and craftsmanship invested into every commission.

“When Kristin showed me my finished piece, I was SPEECHLESS...”

“…and since it’s been in my home, it has received so many compliments. I gave Kristin a vague idea of what I wanted and I let her run with it - mountains and wildflowers. She’s created something better than I could’ve ever imagined. Kristin created a piece of art that reminds me of God’s goodness every time I look at it!”

If her artistic abilities weren’t enough, Kristin is also easily one of the best people to work with. She’s kind, detail-oriented, and joyful in what she does. She’s truly incredible!”
